Show The Grand Ball This evening the long talked of and long anticipated grand ball and carnival given for the benefit of the Hebrew school fund and under the auspices of the Hebrew Benevolent Societies will take place at the Theatre The-atre Every proparation has been made and considering the experience experi-ence obtained by the gentlemen of the committee in similar affairs on former occasions the arrangements must be of the most complete and satisfactory character A very large attendance is assured from the sale of tickets If the interest manifested mani-fested in it is sufficient to warrant an opinion the characters promise to te more varied and original and the costumes more elegant than ever before The few elegant prizes displayed dis-played in the windows of Joslin Park have excited a great deal of admiration and competition and the committee will have a difficult matter mat-ter in arriving at a decision on the merits of the competitors where there promise to be so many meritorious merito-rious representations The circles will be thrown open to the public for the benefit of thoe who desire to be spectators at rates which will be found elsewhere By some means the tickets were made to read Washingtons Birthday Birth-day instead of the Eve of Wash ingtons Birthday and the error was not discovered until too late to correct cor-rect the mistake but it is generally understood that the event transpires tran-spires tonight and those who did not understand it will do so now |
