Show Housebreaking About midnight last night Night watchman Dobson was informed that a house on Plum street just in the rear of Commercial street was broken into He notified the police and an examination proved the rooms of a widow who lives on a second floor had been entered by means of a ladder placed against the rear of the house and a number of articles stolen The extent of the theft cannot be ascertained ascer-tained as the widow is away Her son who was at a private party when the theft occurred had a couple of shirts stolen and considerable consid-erable of the ladys underwear and other apparel is missing Mr Dob son states that he has seen more hard cases on the street the last two or three nights than for a longtime and is of the opinion they are floating float-ing in this direction for their usudl winters work It is just as well for persons to take the hint and be prepared pre-pared for the reception of these chaps |
