Show I Death of Judge Higtee 1 At 845 oclock this afternoon Judge Lyman P Higbee died suddenly sud-denly of paralysis of the heart The Judge has been ailing for along a-long time past and has been much subject to fainting fits This morning morn-ing about 9 oclock he went to the drug store of Messrs McNutt L5 Hurlburt for some medicines which had been prescribed by Dr John D Carnahan While there he fell to the floor in a fit and was unconscious uncon-scious for a short time He was aroused and taken to his room where he was placed on his bed Drs M Jones andOBAdams were called in and administered such restoratives as were deemed necessary The Judge rested pretty well till near 2 oclock He then desired to be removed from his bed and placed in a chair in his office which was done At 245 he was seized with another fit and paralpsis of the heaTtfrom which he never rallied He died almost instantly in-stantly Judge Lyman P Higbee was born in New York in October of 1824 In early life he went to Wisconsin and studied law being elected probate pro-bate Judge in that state In 1862 he removed to Auburn Oregon from thereto Owyhee CountyIdaho where he was again elected probate judge He also was elected a member mem-ber of the Idaho Legislative council from that county In 1875 he removed re-moved to Malad City Oneida County remaining theie two years until 1817 when he came to Ogden City where he has continued to reside re-side until the time of his demise |
