| Show I Riotous Scots i London 20 There was serious noting not-ing in the town of Cambridge Lenark county Scotland on Suturday between parties of Orangemen and Catholics when twentysix of the participants in the disturbance were arrested Two police officers were dangerously wounded in quieting the disturbance The rioting riot-ing was resumed this morning when a numbers of Catholics armed with picks and hammers paraded he main streets of the town in search of religious antagonists antago-nists and resisted the efforts of the force of police sent to disperse them The officers unsuccessful in their attempts to break up ths mob were subsequently reinforced by a body of mounted police aud the combined forces after a sharp fight charged upon and dispersed the rioters twenty of whom were arrested The town is in a state of great excitement excite-ment as fresh trouble is expected l |
