Show Theatrical Improvements A number of changes are to be made at once in the Theatre A day or two ago a party of prominent citizens and patrons of the Theatre called on the management on the subject of making some alterations so as to increase the means with which an audience can vacate the building The result of this interview inter-view together with the increasing patronhge at the Theatre which justifies the expense consequent upon making changes has induced the management to immediately put into execution a number of alterations al-terations and improvemt nts which 1 had been determined upon as early I ben > the jas I last November Probably a most noteworthy of them will b I the cutting of an eight foot optming in the east side of the Theatre leading 1 lead-ing out upon the State Had This I I door will open out onto a platlorm i I and at either end north and south of this platform wih be steps leading ing down to the sidcwilk The I i workmen have already commence I on this alteration and it will be pushed through immediately It is I I also decided to increase the means of exit from the first circle and I from all the circles in general Anew I A-new olatfonn is to be nut down in I the front part of the Theatre with new steps The old stage floor is to be replaced by a new a one all the I whole building calcimiued tl I renovated re-novated generally These lianges of course cannot be pushed through i without interruption owing to the delays that will result from the giving of performances from time to time but whenever a gap occurs in the list of engagements these improvements im-provements will be forced through and no unnecessary time be wasted ant now door on the cast side will probably be ready for use on the evening of the 4th prox when Mr McKenzie and company present Macbeth |
