Show Fire About 5 oclock last night the fire bell rang out an alarm and the firemen fire-men started for the Tenth Ward where the blaze was in progress They were unable to do anything more than drench the smouldering I embers and thus guard against any fire being carried away from the spot by the wind the fire taking place in a barn and the flames burned up all before anything could be done to save it The barn was the property of J W Keddington his loss being estimated at 3400 An adjoining pig pen outhouses and two porkers belonging to Mr James Woods were also burned his loss being placed at about 3200 making the total loss 600 Cause of the firechildren matcheshay I i |
