Show A Serious Fall On Thursday evening Mr Warren War-ren G Child had a serious fall which came near proving disastrous disas-trous He was in his new building on the corner of Main and Fifth streets The carpenters were lay ing the floor in the lower story and Mr Child was standing on the joists when one of them which was loose turned and precipitated him suddenly down He fell on the joists striking suddenly his right side and injuring him considerably When he fell he heard two of his ribs snap and he is satisfied they are fractured The injured part of his body was wrapped with bandages and he retired to rest but he has suffered severe pains all through the past night This morning he was unable to rise from his couch withoutassistance We are pleased however to learn that he was a little better this afternoon and sincerely hope he will soon recover from the effects of his serious fall Oqden Herald I |
