Show Fire The other evening about 6 or 7 oclock t fire uocu ed at Mill Creek on the farm ol Mr J L Blythe whereby the dwelling and adjoining buildings were destroyed Tbe fire emanated from a flue in the upper pare a toe mUD building where a quantity at machinery and corn was kept Immediately upon the discovery of the fire the inmates made eflorts to nave some of the property They only succeeded in removing most of the furniture nearly all tbe machinery and the whole of the corn being destroyed The granaries and all their contents were devoured with the exception of about 800 bushels of wheat No damage dam-age was dono to the stables yards or stacks Mr Blythe arrived at the scene on Wednesday morning The employes and neighbors worked manfully man-fully to save bud accomplished a good deal under tbe circumstances Mr Davis a neighbor took Mrs Blythe and her children to bis home where hey were shown every kindness kind-ness Mr Blytlie extends his thanks to all those who exerted themselves in endeavoring to save the property Tbe damage done amounts to nearly 1000 neary |
