Show Heavy Snow We learn from the Logan Journal of the 14th that the Utah ISortb ern south bound passenger train due at midday Monday had not arrived ar-rived there then being held at Beaver Canyon as the northbound freight No5 was lost between High Bridge and Beaver Canyon evidently snowbound Beaver I Canyon is represented to be full ol I snow drifts from five to seven feet deep and a thousand feet long On I Wednesday at noon there were three northbound passenger trains on the road between Logan and Beaver Canyon and there are no passenger trains south cf Logan The passenger train of Monday had not passed tarther north than Moi rolls a short distance north of Battle Creek when it struck heavy snow and it was deemed advisable to run th train back to Battle Creek for the nght On Tueday mornIng early a snow plow with two engines attached left Logan to endeavor to clear the line to Mc Cammon and wa followed from Battle Creek by Mondays passenger passen-ger No 3 |
