their wedding w II The great event took place at the home of two of their lr sons David and William Eccles Eedes jr iv The sixtieth anniversary ac according acI according cording to tie he e latest decrees of fashion I is looked upon as the diamond wedding anniversary This fact tact was fully recognised in the splendid and costly eo presents with which the aged couple were dow dowered ered erod The Fhe celebration was responsible ible I for the bringing to this city of what is to isI probably the most valuable bit of or brica I brac brae in the state if not in the entire west westa a picture frame arranged to con contain contain tain tabi a family group and which was presented pre to Mr and Mrs Eccles Beebe by their six children hildren The portraits of the aged couple occupied occuPied pied 1 the center of the group and each is completely tel surrounded with a circlet of very large diamonds placed close to together tor I gether r The pictures of oC the seven chil chIt children children dren dies of Mr and Mrs Eccles were grouped about the father and mother and half ball circlets t of diamonds ornament each of f I the four corners of the frame while splendid ouster 1 of the scintillating gems blaze amongst amon t the other portraits The presentation p speech Was made to Mr and Mrs William sr ar by Judge who spoke in behalf and at th the request of the Eccles family The formal ceremony occurred at the home of David Da d Eccles in n the presence preen e of all th the taw guests Bishop John Watson acted as master of ceremonies A number of other addresses add were made
