month On the first of February the operations of the Boston Consolidated Mining nning properties recently acquired were taken over and the report therefore covers the results from the consolidated properties Including the Boston Consolidated mill mUI at Garfield which will hereafter In all reports repots be referred to as the th Arthur plant for tor the months of February and March March Is la Best Bent Month During the months of January and February we continued to suffer through a lack of ot transportation fa ta facilities to the extent of a loss of ot ton tonnage tonnage tonnage nage in addition to these tonnages there Is the somewhat lower grade tonnage referred to in the last annual reSortS reports re orts estimated at tons This additional lower grade tonnage is of practically the same grade as that upon which our operations have been exclusively conducted for the last six months Enormous Tonnage In Sight Summing up the entire ore reserves of ot both properties the total as de carry carryon on this work In order that the best and arid most economical methods might be applied in the recon reconstruction reconstruction reconstruction of this plant and its future operation a corps of Independent en engineers engineers engineers was engaged to examine and andreport andreport andreport report upon the relative merits m of or the systems of milling used in the Magna plant and that of the Arthur plant and upon the best plans for tor enlarging the capacity of ot the latter Their find findings findings ings show a decisive advantage both botha as 59 a to costs and recoveries in the meth methods methods methods heretofore and now employed in inthe Inthe inthe the Magna plant and furthermore that by adoption In the Arthur plant similar appliances and methods Its Us capacity can be more than doubled without extending the present build buildings buildIngs ings lags otherwise than to provide storage to bins for tor ore reserves proportionate the Increased
