v BIRTHS ARE AR DOUBLE DOUBLEt t UMBER OF DEATHS Births during the week which ended Friday night nearly doubled the num number her ber of deaths There were 62 G infants brought Into the world of ot whom 32 3 were boys and 30 girls Deaths report reporter er numbered 35 K of ot which 18 IS were Vere males mates and 17 females and eight bodies were shipped to Salt Lake for burial Last week there were 53 new cases c e of contagious and infectious but this week the number is 15 only 41 cases Eight of ot these are smallpox as against 29 O for the previous week eek and there are IS 1 cases of scarlet fever feer as against 16 6 for the former week Other new cases ca s reported this week are S g of diphtheria 2 of ot measles S of or whooping cough and 4 of chickenpox There are still Mill under quarantine 21 1 hou houses es on account of smallpox pox M it for scarlet fever feer and 9 S for diphtheria There are 7 cases S of smallpox at tho tb isolation hospital
