The two BHS students represented repre-sented Utah at the Presidential Classroom in Washington, D.C. After a week of intensive study of government, they returned re-turned home, having had face-to-face meetings with many of the nation's leaders and on-the-job training on how to be a more effective leader and citizen. MARK HUNSAKER, a junior, has long show n an interest in-terest in government and community com-munity affairs. He served as studentbody president of Mill-creek Mill-creek Jr. High and as a sophomore sopho-more at Bountiful High was selected by the administration to serve as the student member of Utah's team to the National Conference on Juvenile Crime, w hich was held in Kansas Kan-sas City. Mark is a member of the National Na-tional Honor Society, a member mem-ber of the Utah tTeam Against Crime, the Utah Hands Up Up Society, and the BHS PTSA. A fine debater, Mark has also won awards in boys extemporaneous extempor-aneous speaking. DALLEN CRAVEN has served this past year as vice president of Bountiful HK1GH School and as student representative repre-sentative on the Bountiful High PTSA Board. In these positions, he had great influence influ-ence in helping this year's studentbody stu-dentbody achieve it high goals including superb assemblies, assemb-lies, activities concerning energy conservation and antidrug anti-drug use. the "Leave A Clean Scene" lunchroom campaign, and the record-breaking Santa Helders drive. A first year speech student, Dallen moved quickly into the w inners's circles. cir-cles. He is an Eagle Scout and appear on both the citizenship and academic honor rolls. Mark and Dallen w ill speak to BHS classes and to community com-munity groups concerning the insights and experiences of the week in the Washington, D C. Presidential Classroom |
