Show SOCIAL TWELVE CLUB MEMBERS WERE GUESTS of Mrs. Harry Pennington at the last regular party this season, Thursday evening. From small tables prettily decorated with roses, a delicious luncheon was served at 8 o'clock, followed by contract bridge. High score prize for the game went to Mrs. Amasa Rowland. Others attending were Mrs. Lee Sumsion, Mrs. Lewis Clegg, Mrs. Leon Harrison, Mrs. Ed Johnson, Mrs. Bill Phillips, Mrs. Bert Rowland, Row-land, Mrs. J. W. Grant, Mrs. Bill Brown, Mrs. George Crandall, Mrs. Arthur Finley, and Mrs. Jack Per-ham, Per-ham, the latter two being special guests. A' SOCIAL AFFAIR DELIGHTING A NUMBER of young people was the birthday party for Laura Nell Althouse, granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Geo. A. Anderson, given at the latter's home on Friday. The little guests were seated at small tables for luncheon, which was artistically carried out in rainbow rain-bow colors. Games were also enjoyed. en-joyed. Present were Martin Con-over, Con-over, Lee and Dona Anderson, Larry Lar-ry and Joan Miner, Carol Friel, and Laura Lee McKenzie. Reception Friday to Honor Young Couple Here Honoring Miss Betty Fon Anderson, Ander-son, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wal-ter Anderson of this city, and Fred Diamond, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Diamond, also of Springville, who were married this week, a wedding reception will be given in the Fourth ward amusement hall at 8 p. m. Friday. Invitations have been extended to a large number of relatives rel-atives and friends to attend. Both young people are graduates of the Springville high school. They plan to make their home in Salt Lake City. THE JOLLY TEAM 4-H CLUB HELD THEIR ELECTION on Thursday of last week and chosen LaRue Weight, president; Beverly Boyer, vice - president; Lela Rae Thorpe, secretary; La-Rue La-Rue Richmond, song and cheer leader, and Neva Gay Kennedy, reporter. re-porter. THE 4-H GROUP TWO, DIRECTED BY Mrs. Vivian Averett of Mapleton, held their weekly meeting at the home of Miss Carma Hopla, where sewing and social conversation were enjoyed. The next meet was planned for next Wednesday, at the home of'Miss Anna Mae Bird. A GROUP OF GIRL FRIENDS WERE ENTERTAINED at the home of Miss Wilna Brown on Friday night, the occasion of her seventeenth birthday. From one table centered with red poppies, pop-pies, white roses and blue larkspur, lark-spur, luncheon was served in the early evening. Later music and social conversation were enjoyed. Present were Miss Cecelia May-cock, May-cock, Miss Luella Huntington, Miss Marjorie Simkins, Miss Louise Lou-ise Clyde, Miss Helen Christen-sen, Christen-sen, and the hostess. |
