A basket of the daisies, with a yellow mile bow on the handle, was the center-riet center-riet e tor the tea table. The ices were also in yellow and white. Shasta daisies and syringa were used in the library and in the reception room garden roses in pink and white made a dainty adornment. Assisting in receiving- were Mrs. Corey .Mbriuon and Mrs. C. H. Zimmerman. In ;:ie dining room members of the Delta Kpsilon sorority assisted in serving. Receiving Re-ceiving the guests at tlie door were Miss Angela Dunyon and Miss Marian Al-britton. Al-britton. Mr. and Mrs. E. K. Franklin announce the marriage of their daughter, Hilda, to Harold G. Goss. The wedding took place Monday in Berkeley, Cal. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Edward P. Dennett of the First Methodist church. Pn young people were students of f U'niversity of Utah. .The bride is a iYTember of the Alpha Chi sorority and was a teacher in. the Emerson school. Tire young couple will hake their home in Berkeley, Cal. Mr. Goss is now with the Hercules Powder company, doing government gov-ernment work as a chemical engineer. The marriage of Miss Laura Mac far-lane far-lane and J. H. Lawrence will take place this evening at 6 o'clock at the home, of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A "kitchen band concert" will be given this evening at 8 o'clock at Immanuel Baptist church, under the direction of section 4 of the Ladies' Aid society of the church. All members of the congregation congre-gation are invited. The Ladies' Militant will hold a regular meeting this evening at I. O. O. F. ball. Miss Sarah Chipman will entertain at a large dancing party at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Chipman, on East Broadway. - Miss Esther Badger has returned from New York, where she attended Miss Ray-son's Ray-son's school. Dr. and Mrs. Walter Newton Pugh are now at home with Mrs. Pugh's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Richmond, on East South Temple street. Miss Norma Mueller has returned from Smith college, where she has just completed com-pleted her sophomore year. She was accompanied ac-companied by her mother, Mrs. Alma Mueller, who has spent the winter in Boston. Miss Mueller is a graduate of Rowland Hall and has made an excellent record at Smith. Mrs. Mueller and her daughter are at the Newhouse hotel. A social will be held tonight at 8 o'clock in the Heath M. E church, Third South and Eighth West streets. A program pro-gram will be rendered and refreshments will be served. |
