Show Married At a few minutes past S oclock on Tuesday evening Mr Ephraim Knowlton son of Mr J Q Knowl ton Esq and nephew of Captain Hooper and Miss Edith Clawson daughter of Gen H Clawson were married The event took place at General Clawsons residence in the Twelfth Ward the ceremony being performed by Mayor Little in the presence of the relatives of the happy couple and a host of young and admiring ad-miring friends The parlors were tilled to overflowing with smiling faces and immediately at the conclusion con-clusion of the ceremony the most sincere and heartfelt congratulations congratula-tions were uttered by earnest lips and could be seen in every eye The bride who is well known to the public as the most popular young Salt Lake actress of the day and the one who gives perhaps greater promise than any other for rapid advancement was beautifully and suitably attired and the groom had on the customary apparel The groom is a young and rising gentleman gentle-man in the community is well known highly respected and is superintendent of the cooperate branch at Soda Springs The presents pres-ents were beautiful varied ard costly and all were choice and gave I an evidence of the appreciation in which both the young people are held A line repast was partaken of by the guests and was spread out in a lavishness characteristic of General Gen-eral Clawson Tomorrow afternoon the happy pair leave for Soda Springs their home for the present and they carry with them the heartfelt wishes of all who know them for along life of happiness and unchanging success The HERALD extends its warmest wishes for their weal |
