A Farewell will be held in the Salina First Ward, December 13, 1992 at 11:30 p.m. He will enter the MTC on December 16, 1992. Elder Anderson is the son of Ray K. and Catherine Anderson. He is a graduate of North Sevier High School. The pneumatic tire was invented in 1845 by Robert W. Thomson, a Scottish engineer. Before that, wooden wheels and steel tires were used. The First Presidency of the Church asks members to petition the Lord for moisture in drought-stricke- n areas, and for relief for those who are suffering from the effects of other calamities. The Church leaders specifically mentioned an extended drought in the western United States and Canada, but also made reference to larly fast for two meals once a month and donate the money they would have spent on those meals to a fund for those in need. The First Presidency suggested that in connection with the observance of the regular fast day in December, members fast and pray for relief of the suffering and then be most generous in their fast offering contributions so that means are available to assist the poor and needy, the sick, and the afflicted.
