Show SUNDAY HERALD Survey Group Urges Health Organizations Like Utah County's Establishment of consolidated county health units, similar to y Health Utah County's Department, has been recomon mended by the health of Utah State Association of County Officials. A copy of the Association subcommittee's views was forwarded to the Committee on Public Health Services of Local Government Survey Commission. The Association of County Officials made four recommendations: "1. We will recommend that the public health services be the function of a county health board, of composed representatives from cities, towns and unincorporated areas, and that an ade City-Count- sub-commit- tee quate mill levy be set to administer the health program in accordance with standards set by the State Board of Health. "2. Further, if counties which are small need to group or combine that such should be done through the state board of health, acting in an advisory capacity. "3. We point out that any county failure to establish county health services is because no mill levy for administering was ever set up. The only funds available are from the poor and indigent fund and from the general fund, these health service functions be kept and administered on a county basis." The recommendations in the County Officials Association subcommittee were released by Utah County Commissioner F. Rulon Nicholes.
