He married Ada Mclnelly, Dec. 24, 1932, Escalante; ig. later solemnized in the St. George J LDS Temple. ij. He was a sheepherder and farmer. He served as Escalante sheriff. He moved to Salt Lake City in 1949 where he worked for Utah-Idaho Sugar and Kennecott Copper, Idj retiring after 25 years service. H. Survivors: wife, Richfield; sons, I, daughters, Vernon Grant, Mrs. Grant (Alice) Day, both Salt Lake lvfo City; Arlan, Sandy; Mrs. Darrell H (Colleen Hartman) Lewis, I Heywood, Calif.; Arlene Crow, 1 Fremont,. Magleby and Sons Mortuary, where Wayne Berritt offered the dedicatory prayer. Pallbearers were Deborah Jean Mueller, Matthew Schmidt, David Schmidt, Dennis Heaps, Bryan Schmidt and Shane Heaps. Honorary pallbearers were Douglas Mclnelly, Marty Parcell, Lance Buterbaugh, John Bickmore and Irving Muir. Elba Schow Elba Verness Allen Schow, 81, Panguitch, died Oct. 28, 1986, in a Panguitch hospital. She was born Dec. 24, 1904, Tropic, to John M. and Lydia A. Losee Allen. She was married to Guy Schow, April 25, 1027, Panguitch; later 'solemnized Iff" the Provo '"IDS" ...Temple. He died July 4, 1982. Survivors: sons, daughters, Mrs. Rolin (Velma M.) Christensen, Orem; Stanley, Provo; Millard L., Panguitch; Mrs. William R. (Guyla) Savage, Richfield; 18 grandchildren; grand-children; 24 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Lavisa Workman, LaVerkin,; Mrs. Zelpha Bodily, Vernal. Funeral services will be Friday in the Panguitch First LDS Ward chapel where friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Panguitch Cemetery by Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary, Richfield. Sherrel Riddle ST. GEORGE Sherrel Mont Riddle, 73, died Oct. 23, 1986, at Dixie Medical Center of a heart condition He was born Feb. 21, 1913, in Antimony, to Mont Chesney and Eva ' Rowan Riddle. He married Alice Larson May 20, 1938, in the Salt Lake ; LDS Temple. Reared and educated in Garfield County, he graduated from Panguitch High School and attended Southern Utah State University in Cedar City. He resided in St. George from 1947 to 1955 where he owned and operated the College Cove and Malt Shoppe. Later he moved to Arizona and Southern California, where he was employed at Douglas Aircraft. An active member of the LDS Church, he served a mission to the Texas-Louisiana Mission. He was a counselor in the Stake Mission Presidency, ward clerk, executive secretary and ordinance worker in the Los Angeles Temple. He is survived by his wife, St. ; George; sons: Sherrel Mont Jr. and Ronald L., both Santa Monica, Calif.; Robert R., Los Angeles; sister, Mrs. Utahna Gottfredson of Ely, Nov.; 13 grandchildren. Graveside services were held Monday, Oct. 27, at 11 a.m. in the Hurricane City Cemetery under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary. Steven Hancock WASHINGTON CITY - Steven Leon Hancock, 19, Washington City, died Oct. 25, 1986, of injuries suffered suf-fered in a motorcycle accident. He was born Dec. 11, 1966, Cedar City, to Doyle Ward and Afton Mangum Hancock, formerly of Hatch. Survivors: parents, Sacramento, Calif.; brothers, sister, James H., Aransas Pass, Tex.; Duane Ward, Ronald LeRoy, Betsy Marvelle Hancock, all Sacramento, Calif. Graveside services were Wednesday Wed-nesday in the Minersville Cemetery by Spilsbury and Graff Mortuary, St. George. |
