Tho head;, unusually largo, gave Bpaco for a broad and uoble brow- Tho hair, thick, jet black and slightly curling, fell "down over his ears; tho pyebrows wore arched and jointed; tho countenance counte-nance thin, but ruddy; his largo oyes, intensely Jblack, and, piercing, rccoived additional luster from their long, dark oydlaslics; tho noso was high and slightly aquiline, but fine and at tho end attenuated, the teeth, were far apart; a long, black, pushy heard, reaching to thoHi'east, added manliness nnd presence; pres-ence; his expression was ponsivo and; contemplative; tho face beamed with intelligence, though something of the sensuous might also ho there discerned. Tho skin of his body was clear and soft; tho only hair that met thp oyo was a fine thin line which ran down from thp neck towards the navel- H is broad back loaned slightly forward as ho walked, and lus stop was hasty, yet sharp and decided, like that of one rapidly descending a declivity. There J was something unsettled in his blood- j shot ove, which refused to rest upon j its object. When ho turned towards , you, it was never partially, but with tho wholo body. |
