One of the pleasant social affairs of the week was given Tuesday evening by Miss Ora Bailey, when the members of the O. N. O. club spent Thursday evening in a delightful manner at her residence. The rooms were a profusion of asters, a pretty scheme of pink and white prevailing. The members present were the Misses Virginia Sutherland, Margaret Dusen-berry. Dusen-berry. Ruth Foster, Glen Johnson, Madeline Made-line Hathenbrook, UHIda Moody, Ada Howe, Effie Evans and Lucile Dunn. The hostess served luncheon and music was an entertaining feature of the evening. A leading affair of the week was the prettily appointed trousseau tea given Tuesday afternoon by Miss Pauline Pier-pont, Pier-pont, w"hose marriage to J. Chester Deal took place Thursday. A notable and interesting affair of the week was the banquet given under the direction of the nurses of the Provo gen-erat gen-erat hospital in honor of Miss Catherine Brown and Miss Ida Otterbeck, who graduated grad-uated from that institution as trained nurses. The Rev. Mr. Eulkley and Dr. H. G. Merrill were in attendance and made the presentation of diplomas. The affair was excellent in all details. Mrs. L. T. Walters entertained the Re-bekah Re-bekah ladles Wednesday afternoon. While the guests were busy with needlework they enjoyed social chat and the hostess served refreshments. Mr. and Mrs. William M. The Utah Sorosis held its first meeting meet-ing of the season Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. W. M. Roylance. The time was devoted to reminiscences of the summer months, told by various members, mem-bers, and proved highly interesting. The club will again meet with Mrs. Roylance next week.
