manual man-ual training or kindergarten course in the public school system was presented present-ed The report was addressed to Mrs Williim Driver of the committee from the womens clubs and was by her transmitted to the Child Culture club The recommendation of the report is as follows Ve your committee on teachers beg leave to report on the petition of the womens clubs of Ogden that kindergarten kinder-garten training be introduced in the schools or a room be furnished for that purpose as follows That the petition cannot be granted owing to lack of funds That at present there are no vacant rooms in any of the school buildings suitable for the purpose We recommend that kindergarten training be introduced in the public schools as soon as the money at the disposal of the board will permit con-cert was quite generally pronounced to be the best ever given In Mercur The Golden Gate band and Peters orchestra or-chestra discoursed good music throughout the programme Vocal solos were given by Miss Harris Miss Rose Morris of Butte Mr Henry Mr D Jordan and a duet by Miss Turner and Mrs Heritage Several numbers of instrumental music were rendered ren-dered by Miss Vick Messrs Joy and Baker Ba-ker and Messrs Peters and Hut After the programme the hall was cleared clear-ed for dancing The grand march was led by W C Ritter a returned volunteer vol-unteer and Mrs V 51 Phelps chairman of the committee on arrangements In the dancing which followed up to a late hour the crowded condition of tho Jostle floor brought but notwithstanding the couples into a whole a constant lot of I enjoyment
