Smoot Drug company. The Provo Co-op was burglarized on Wednesday night. The fact was not made known to the public yesterday ror tne reason mat nwas tnougnt tne burglars could be detected as nothing but Ecrip, about $300.00, was taken. Tnere very evidently were too robbers rob-bers and the deed was planned and ex -ecuted right neatly. Just as the cleiks were about to close the store a stranger came in and asked to look at some picture frames. The picture frames were high up on the wall and it took time to get at them, then there was caneiderable haggling over the price. The theory is that while this was going on the man's pal sneaked in at the back door and bolted down stairs into the cellar and hid himself, as next morning one of the panels of the door which leads from the cellar to the grocery department was found cut out and the bolt that holds the outside cellar cel-lar door was down and the door was open. The cabinet which holds the scrip was broken open and empty. If anything else was taken it has not beeD missed. It is hardly likely that the thief did take anything else as the cash register, which was standing open, had not been touched and it con tained $7.50 in cash.
