Preparations for United States upcoming Olympic Gymnastics Trials are proceeding full steam ahead in Salt Lake City now that meet qualification action has been completed in Houston, Texas at McDonalds U.S. Gymnastics Championships. At the McDonalds meet, a total of 130 men and women gymnasts competed for the 38 available berths at the Olympic Trials. Going into the event, favorites included Salt Lakes Missy Marlowe, Phoebe Mills and Hope Spivey for the women. The mens favorites were Kevin Davis, Tom the Schlesinger and Curtis of the inning.
