Show 5 Smith's To Move - streets located within the park if the developers will install sidewalks on one side of the street. The sidewalks were never installed prior to this because there is very little foot traffic inside the park, it was noted. WEST VALLEY. The City Planning Commission here approved all but one application it considered here Tuesday. Included in the requests were an application for a new Smiths super store on eight acres of land and two others for street dedications and name changes. The Smith store will be built on eight acres of land formerly owned by the Kearns improvement District at 4000 W. 4700 South. The project will include 12,600 square feet of retail shops and a 61,200 square foot Smith's super store that will replace the existing store across the street. There will be some new streets in the city as a result of Thursday's action. The city has suggested, and the commission has agreed, that all existing and future sections of this street be named Parkway Boulevard. A name is proposed rather than a number because the road does not follow a straight line as it crosses the city.
