The class of 87 held its commencement exercises Friday outside on the football field Earlier in the day there were thoughts of moving the ceremony inside due to the weather, but it stayed outdoors and the weather agreed just fine. The rain didn't come until after the ceremony and even the wind stopped for this great event. Tears were shed and cheers were heard as the ceremony ended and the class of 87 moved into the real world. The speakers all did super and not one of them went over the time limit, which kept the exercises from going too long. I n would like to tell Mrs. Debbie how much 1 enjoyed the song she wrote for the ceremony. She and Carrie Barlow did a wonderful job singing it. It was really pretty. Other musical numbers were done by the madrigals, concert choir and the orchestra. They all did terrific. Id like to tell all 517 graduates congratulations and wish them the best of luck in the future. Since this is my last article, Id like to thank all those who helped me throughout the year. Especially those who helped with the changing of the marquee, it was a tough job and I could never have done it without their help. I wont name them all now but they know who they are and I really appreciated them. Jared Leese and Marilee Evans deserve a big vote of thanks for dofor me. It ing the calendar in was very well done and very useful for everyone. In addition, Id like to tell my fellow SBO's what a great job they did this year and thank Thom, Dave and Jay for the extra help they gave me.
