The Salt Lake Valley League of American Legion baseball will begin its schedule of games Wednesday, June 17, with the following games: Granite will travel to Bingham; Murray goes to Kearns; Midvale will meet Alta on the Brighton diamond; West Jordan will Salt Lake County Recreotion and Parks director Gary Swensen and MOST APPROPRIATE . . . The edifice was added to Winski Field in Kearns' Southridge Park. - Monument Constructed In Memory Of Don Winski KEARNS. For years Salt Lake County had stored away some beautiful flag stone, salvaged from the demolition of a wall at the old Salt Lake County Hospital, stored ; away just waiting to be put to use. At long last, a use was found - a , good use. .very Thanks to the spearheading efforts of Lynn Pett. Bingham will play Alta at hillcrest; Kearns is at West Jordan; Highland at Granger; Judge at Skyline; Cottonwood at Brighton; and Jordan at Tooele. On Monday June 22, Alta will visit Granite; West Jordan will play Cyprus at Community park at 8 p.m.; Holladay entertains Bingham at Ken Price at 6; Kearns will visit Granger; Midvale is at Taylorsville; Highland at Skyline; Cottonwood at Hillcrest; Tooele at Judge; and Brighton at Jordan. On Wednesday, June 24, Murray is at West Jordan; Holladay at Granite; Taylorsville at Bingham; Kearns at Skyline; Midvale at Cottonwood; Highland at Tooele; Hillcrest at Jordan; and Judge at Brighton. Coaches of Green Sheet area teams include Wayne Ferguson at Alta; Jerry Janguard at Bingham; Dan Mercer at Brighton; Bob Burkett, A1 Gouge, Steve Gehrke, Rick Davis and Kurt Mathewson at Brooks Jones at Cottonwood; Cyprus; Bob Fratto at Granger; Jackson Ewing at Granite; Bob Keyes at Hillcrest; Mark Holsten at Holladay; A1 Watrin at Jordan; Robert Rendon at Judge; Steve Dallin and Lynn Anderson at Kearns; Marty Mika at Midvale; secretary. Don Gust is the state commissioner and is assisted by Steve Brophy. Kent Redding is the Dennis Davies at Murray; Barry Scieli at Taylorsville; and A1 Poland at West Jordan. The league has 19 teams this summer and will play games every Monday, Wednesday and Friday through Friday, July 31, with the exception of the Friday, July 3rd, date.
