Commissioner Bums reported that he 'had consulted members of the Growers Exchange in regard tq the county participating in the parade to be given in Salt Lake City August 30th, by Wizards of the Wasatch, and he thought the people of Davis county were not sufficiently interested in the affair to justify the' necessary expenditure.. This report was accepted and adopted, cultural Inspector Ezra V. Steed for January, February, March and. April was read and ordered filed. Joseph R. Payne was appointed to fill Mr. Steeds' term. Compensation was fired at $3 pet day for actual services, in addition to necessary traveling expanses, not to eiced $1 per day.
