Show a 4 Cuff From page 8 somewhere and get paid for playing ball," Cuff said. Lisa said she will completely support her husband in whatever he wants to do. "This is something Ryan has wanted to do for a long time," Lisa said. "He really didn't want to go at first, because he only had three more weeks ofstudent-teaching . . . But, they made him a deal that he just couldn't pass up." The deal was that while Cuff was in New Zealand, the Warriors would make arrangements for him to continue hisstudent-teaching at a local high school. WSU's education department would also work with him, allowing the teaching he would do to count for his requirementSo Cuff said good-bye to his friends, coaches and Lisa, but only until she could join him earlier this week. Before he knew it, he found himself in Los Angeles waiting fora passport with a one-way ticket to New Zealand in his hand. He had no idea what to expect once in New Zealand, who to look for when he got there, or even where he would stay. The only thing he was sure of was this opportunity that probably wouldn't come around again, and he had to take it If nothing else, this brief time Cuff will spend in New Zealand possibly may lead to something else. "I've had a team in England say they would be interested in me for next season," Cuff said. "There have been other teams in Europe that are looking at me, but we'll jusi have to see what happens in New Zealand first" Cuff and his wife said they are excited for the new experience they will be having. "We are just totally excited for a change of scenery," Lisa said. "I have the rest of my life to live in Salt Lake and be a court reporter. This might be a chance we will never get again." The transition area is where contestants make the change from swimming to biking. The final stage was a three-mile run which circled WSU campus. The top finishers were Jared Allen for the men, posting a time of 1:06 and Kristen Taylor for the women with a time of 1:18. "I believe multi-sport training is the most well-founded type of physical exercise one can do. Not only does cross-training help you avoid injury, but the results of multi-sport training strengthens and aids in the achievement of optimum fitness," Allen said. Club founder Allen's background in the multi-sport exceeds back to his childhood days. At the age of eight, while training daily with his father, Allen entered a 10k race called the Boulder Boulder in Colorado and did exceptionally well. It can positively one's life in many ways. Running is medicine for the soul," Allen said. Those who share Allen's passion for fitness are invited to become involved in the club. They just like to watch the games, have fun and hang out afterwards."The laid-back attitude and beautiful scenery is something both Ryan and Lisa could get used to. "It is so pretty here, and the people are all really nice," Cuff said. "And now that Lisa is here, it makes this place that much better. I'm really having fun, and hopefully things will keep going good for us." Even if Cuff only stays in New Zealand until the end of the season in August and doesn't sign with another team in Europe, he says that this will be an unforgettable experience.
