Show COUNTY COURT. Regular session, held June 5, fi, and 7 1S99, all members present. Minutes of previous session read and approved. Report of county superintendent of schools, laid over at last session, making mak-ing an estimate of funds needed for coming year, and asking that the amount of $89.70 be set aside and appropriated ap-propriated to the superintendent's office contingent fund. The communication communi-cation was ordered filed and the amount of $89.70 appropriated to contingent con-tingent fund from any money in the school fund. Resignation of County Clerk Whitehead White-head presented and accepted, A vote of thanks was tendered to County Clerk Whitehead for his services and courtesy court-esy to the county commissioners. County Clerk Whitehead expressed his appreciation of the confidence expressed, express-ed, and thanked the commisioners for their courtesy to him during his short incumbency. Bond of Edwin S, Jones as constable of C unlock precinct, with J. S. P. Bowler and Josiah Leavitt as surities, presented and approved. Bond of George A. Holt, road aupcr-visul' aupcr-visul' 'of Hfcbrou precinct, v.itn lr. O. Koh ancl Thomas P. Cottam as sureties, presented and approved. Reports of road supervisor Duiliu in relation to changing road north of Toquerville, showing that the amount of $93.40 had been expended, and asked that the amount of $33.40 be appropriated appropriat-ed to pay for completion of the road. Report accepted and amount of $33.40 appropriated out of the county funds, to be refunded to the county out of appropriation made from the state, when said funds are available. Resignation of J. H, Bowler as Justice Jus-tice of the Peace for Gunlock presented pre-sented and accepted. J. S. P. Bowler was appointed Justice of the Peace to fill vacancy. Bill of Skelton & Co. for certificates. $1.55 allowed. Bill of George Brooks, sheriff, for board of prisoners, etc., $11.90, allowed. Bill of George F. Whitehead, county clerk, office expenses, $1.05, allowed. Bill of Nephi M. Savage, cancelling stamp $1.25, allowed. Bill of Arthur Paxman, road supervisor super-visor Washington precinct for lumber used in repairing bridge $3.24, allowed. Report of Assessor Cottam, summary of assessments for the year 1S99, showing show-ing total assessments $811,420 presented pre-sented and accepted. Bill of Francis L. Daggett, Justice of St. George precinct, for $2.75 in case of Ralph West, allowed. The court resolved itself into a Board of Equalization, and considered reductions re-ductions and increases in assessments. The matter of filling the vacancy of County Clerk caused by the resignation resigna-tion of G. F. Whitehead, was considered and Arthur F. Miles was appointed to fill the unexpired term.
