Show Grazing Advisory Board Members Elected At Cedar City Meeting An election of advisory board members was held in the El Es-calante Es-calante hotel, Cedar City, Utah, on Aug. 5 to fill the vacancies of the four advisors whose terms expire this year. The following candidates were elected: Kumen S. Gardner, cattle section, sec-tion, precinct No. 2; Archie Spils-bury, Spils-bury, cattle section, precinct No. 4; Ward H. Esplin, sheep section, Precinct No. 3; G. Duncan McDonald, Mc-Donald, sheep section, Precinct No. 5. Kuman S. Gardner was the only new member elected to the advisory board, the other three being re-elected. A caucus was held at 10 o'clock and nominees were selected, after which the licensees were given an opportunity to present their views on the administration of the range and to set forth any grievances they might have. Ernest E. House, district grazier, addressed the licensees li-censees and especially stressed the extreme caution necessary for the prevention of fires due to the hazardous condition brought about by the heavy growth of June grass in the Virgin grazing district. |
