Show DIXIE COLLEGE The Dixie High School basketball basket-ball team left the first part of the week for Salt Lake City to compete com-pete in the state basketball tournament. tourn-ament. They were accompanied by Coaches Hafen and Shields and members of the faculty of the Dixie college. The "Senior" day, held last Friday, was a great success. The guests, seniors from the Hurricane Hurri-cane and Enterprise, high schools, had a lovely time and enjoyed themselves immensely. Because of the success of the undertaking. Dixie High School plans to make it an annual feature of senior activities. The home Economics Club entertained en-tertained at a formal dancing party inthe banquet room of the Standard Cafe on March 14th. Appropriate dacorat ions and programs pro-grams were featured. President Norma Webb, asisted by her officers, of-ficers, was in charge of the affair. The Home Economics Club members mem-bers and their partners report a very enjoyable evening. Elections for a queen for "D" day took place on Tuesday of this week. The candidates for queen were chosen from the sophomore soph-omore cla.-s and are as follow?: Doris Tobler, Fae Terry. Mary Jarvis. Florence Huntington. Beatrice Bea-trice Trait and Virginia Mocdy. The returns from the election aren't being given out until next week. The queen will reign over the festivities on "D" day on March 27th. |
