Show Left for Upper Kanab. The sad news of the murder of Daniel Seegmillei', which arrived here by telegraph about 11 a. m. on the 24th threw quite a gloom over the people, as "Uncle Dan," as he was generally called was quite a favorite here. Upon receipt of the news an Indian was dispatched dis-patched to Copper Mountain for. Chas. Seegmiiler, a son of the murdered man who has been working in the mine there. Erastus B. Snow and Mahonri Snow, brothers-in-law of deceased; Mrs John G. McQuarrie, a daughter; and Frank Seegmiiler, a nephew, left for Upper Kanab the same day. |
