Show Miss Mary Grace Bentley And Rulon Romney Marry In St. George Temple The St. George L. D. S. Institute building was the setting for the wedding reception given Saturday evening, May 20, by Mrs. Ellen S. Bentley, honoring her daughter, Mary Grace, and her husband, Rulon Romney, son of Mrs. Elizabeth Eliza-beth Romney of Colonia Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. The couple were married at mid-day in the St. George L. D. S. Temple, Pres. Harold S. Snow performing the ceremony. For the reception the bride wore a floor-length wedding dress of white Skinner's satin with hand embroidered finger-length veil of bride's ilusion, both the handiwork handi-work of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Norman Geertsen of Provo. She was attended by Miss Ora Brooks as bridesmaid, a sister, Miss Misha Bentley, maid of honor, Mrs. Geertsen, matron of honor, and tiny Laretta Geertsen as flower girl. The bride carried a bouquet of white cali lilies and pink rosebuds. rose-buds. The groom's best man was his brother-in-law, Preston Gledhill of Cedar City. Also in the receiving line were the bride's mother and her uncle, LeRoy Bentley of Price; W. O. Bentley, with Mrs. Bruce Snow, Mrs. Gerald Seegmiller and Miss Zola Adams of Midvale received re-ceived the guests. Ushers were Margaret Bentley, Berniece Bentley Bent-ley and Mary Lou Carter. Miss Alice Pendleton presided in the gift room assisted by Virginia Woodbury, Thelma Blake, Carol Cox and LaPrele Sullivan. Pouring Pour-ing were Miss Tillie Winsor and Miss Mattie Pendleton; those serving serv-ing including Betty Lou Gardner, Muriel Cannon, Sybil Anderson, Corinne Esplin and Maurine Bentley. Bent-ley. Bowls of garden flowers were used in the room decorations. The music program included vocal numbers by Ray Garner and Mrs. Mack G. Jackson and violin numbers by Mrs. Edward Christian Chris-tian and Mrs. Ellis Everett, with Mrs. Mae A. Pace accompanying. The couple left Saturday night for Juarez where they will spend the summer, planning to return in September. |
