Show COUPLE OBSERVE B3R0 ANNiVERSARY Mr. and Mrs. Alex Fulleiton Married Sixty-Three Years Last Friday. Alexander and Inez Hardy Fullerton quietly observed their sixty-third wedding anniversary Friday, January 22, with only the immediate family and close friends calling to wish them happy returns of the day. They were married in St. George in IS 69, and in the month of February Feb-ruary of the same year went to Salt Lake City and were sealed in the endowment house. At that time the trip to the capital city required about two weeks. "Grandpa" Fullerton was born in Scotland, March 7, 1S43, and came to America when he was only seven years old. He crossed the plains with his parents in a handcart company and the family settled first in Spanish Fork. WJien the call came to settle set-tle the Dixie mission he was 19 years of age. He arrived in Dixie in IS 61 with the first party, and lived at the Old Camp until the town was surveyed and he took up the lot on which he lives now. "Grandma" Fullerton was born in Salt Lake City and on January Janu-ary 17 of this year observed her SOth birth anniversary. She came to Dixie in IS 62 with her parents, par-ents, Samuel B. and Caroline Hardy, who settled first at Virgin Vir-gin City and six years later came to St. George. They have had eight children, seven of whom are living. Other descendants are 27 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. In consideration of their advanced ad-vanced years, their health is fairly good. Mr. Fullerton is able to get about a little in spite of the loss of his eyesight. However, his wife has been failing fail-ing during the last year. |
