Show HOUSE RANSACKED WHILE OWNER IS AT FUNERAL Unknown parties entered the house of George E. Miles Monday afternoon while Mr. and Mrs. Miles were attending attend-ing the funeral of Mrs. Rose Walker, and stole about ten dollars in silver. Entry was made with a pass key through the rear door of the house. This door was open when Mr. and Mrs. Miles returned but the front door had not been opened. The burglars made a thorough search of the house, watches and jewelry ' of value were passed up and only the money taken. No large amount of money is ever kept in the house as practically all business is transacted by check, and this accounts for the small loss suffered. Two boys who were seen in the neighborhood Monday are suspected, and the officers are working on the case. St. George has been singularly free from this sort of thievery and should be kept so. Every effort should be made to apprehend the guilty parties. |
