Elma Smith and Marie Hatch, two of our musicians that play for the Friday night dance, were honored for eleven year of playing for the dances. They were presented corsages. We just hope they will be able to play for us that much longer. We also wish to recognize our other two musicians, Darrel Wardle, who plays the drum and Don Smith who plays the saxophone. They play some good music. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy an evening of good clean fun. The art and craft show is going on at the Center. Although they want to do well and they are concerned about doing well, they dont create excessive pressures for themselves. Their parents usually display great support and concern, yet they arent pushy. Others in the class were Tommys intellectual equals, but Tommy had more classroom success. Successful learners display certain attitudes, skills and behaviors. For instance, theyre well motivated. They accept much of the responsibility for their own learning. They understand that success depends on their own efforts, and they work hard. Successful students have the ability to pay attention.
