The Simmons family held a birthday dinner Sunday for Elsie Simmons, Farrel's mother, on her 90th birthday. Farrel and Helen stopped in Heber to see Helen's father James B. Harvey, who has just had surgery. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Bartlett and girls and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bartlett and family, Orem, and the Robert Potter family, Salt Lake City, visited Sunday at the James B. Harvey home. They came to attend the missionary report of Elder Murlin Wenzel. The Delbert Merkley family, Provo, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Merkley. The Merkleys hosted a family dinner Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Sanders, Salt Lake City, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Errol Merkley. Sheila Harvey and Murlin Wenzel returned home Thursday from Heber. They had been out with James B. Harvey during his surgery. The Ray Haslem family has received word that Elder Clair Haslem in enjoying enjoy-ing his mission in Bellingham, Wash. Clair reports it's hard to get used to so much rain. Several children in the ward have chicken pox. Friday morning was a cold morning. Temperatures in Tridell dipped to 24 below zero, coldest of the year. Mr. and Mrs. Garth Ross, Sparks, Nev., and Jill, Robin and Clayton Ross, who are attending BYU spent Saturday and Sunday at the Jack Willis and DeVon McKee homes. Jill has just returned from a six-month stay in Israel with the BYU study abroad program. pro-gram. Carrie Merrell and children are visiting in Orem with the Norman Woodhouse family. Lois Robinette visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Clark McKee. She came to attend the blessing of Jana McKee. Velma Lyman, Murlin Wenzel, Sheila Harvey and Mignon Harvey went to Heber Monday to take James B. Harvey for surgery. Mr. Harvey also had to have another surgery performed Saturday. The Fred Bartletts have moved into their home on airport hill. Fern Dennis, Orem, spent the weekend at the Rondal McKee home. |
