Show Thursday, October 19, 1961 THE VALLEY VIEW NEWS Brockbank Edges Kearns 2 3-- By Richard Farmer October 12, 1961, Brockbank traveled to Kearns for the first volley- ball game of the year. It was held in the Kearns Jr. High School gym. The game started out with both teams smashing the ball back and forth in an effort to score, but Brockbank pulled ahead at first with a score of Then Kearns back and brought the score fought The Bees then gradualup to 0 ly rose up until the score was at the half. During the first few minutes of the second half, Kearns raised the score to Then Brockbank broke loose and piled up 10 points untli the score was 25-1Fiom then on, Brockbank held the lead the rest o the game, but the Panthers kept on fighting and with the support of the student body never lost hope. The game ended with a score of 32-2- 2 for Brockbank, but Kearns really gave a gallant fight and displayed the great spirit that Kearns Jr. High has.
