Show THE VALLEY THURSDAY, MARCH 9, 1978 VIEW NEWS PAGE 3 Temple Districts Announced Boundaries of temple districts for the Salt Lake Temple and the new Jordan River Temple were that, an- nounced today by the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-daSaints, Forty-ninstakes in the northern half of Salt Lake County and southern Davis County were included in the Salt Lake Temple District. Fifty stakes in southern Salt Lake County were assigned to the Jordan River Temple District. The line separating the two temple districts extends in a direction generally east-wey e along 5266 South to Wasatch Boulevard and along the boulevard to 4500 South, then west to 2300 East. Turning north, the line follows 2300 East to 3300 South then heads west to Highland 2900 South. East, south to again to the line dips South, west 3400 400 to westward East, south to and west to the Jordan River. The boundary jogs north to 3300 South and diagonally to 3500 South which it follows to 4800 West, then turns south to 4700 South and west to the Oquirrh Mountains. The Salt Lake Temple District extends to the north boundary of the Centerville Utah Stake in Davis County. The Salt Lake Temple District will also continue to include as before a number of stakes and missions outside Salt Lake and Davis counties. The Jordan River Temple site will be built on a about 10200 South 1300 West in South Jordan, the First 3600 South announced. During this time, an appeal is made for funds to help finance Easter Seal programs for handicapped children and adults in Utah.
