Nm' p- fc n M fa soccer players gathar around coach Tad Blanco at halftime of racant gama (photo by Richard Nlolson) CEU A Soccer club formed at CEU wins first game in history of team by Data Olson staff writer For the fust year in history the College of Eastern Utah has sponsored a junior college club soccer team The soccer team is registered with the National Junior College Athletic Association to make them official The team consists of 21 players who compete with other college soccer teams in Utah and Idaho The had coach of the soccer team is coach Ted Bianco Bianco has good expectations for the team in the coming season "Basically we just wanted to get started and in the future have a more competitive situation” he said Some of the other teams that the soccer team competes with are Snow College Ricks College from Idaho Utah Valley Community College Southern Utah University Weber State University and possibly Dixie College in SL George When asked how popular the soccer program is at CEU Bianco replied "We have 21 players" It's obvious that the interest is there the team just needs some publicity What can the student body or CEU do to help or improve the soccer program?
