Show The Omaha Herald thus speaks of the Utah Delegates to the Woman Suffrage Convention, now in progress at Omaha: Mrs. Gen. [General] Wells, wife of the veteran of Utah, and Mrs. Zina Young, wife of Brigham Young, are the two Utah ladies who are attending the Woman Suffrage convention. They are both bright-minded women from Utah, who know their own minds and what they are here for. We give them respectful welcome to Omaha. The same paper makes the following remarks about one of Utah's most substantial citizens: Mr. William Jennings, one of the leading men of Utah for thirty years, is in the city and a very welcome visitor is he to Omaha. Mr. Jennings comes to meet his wife and daughters on their return from Europe. They are expected to arrive in Omaha to-day. Mr. Jennings made his home in Utah in 1852. In all the years since then he has been one of the strong men of the Territory, in which he has been widely known and respected. As a business man he has long been known to our people, as well as to his own, as one of the sound and strong men off that country. |
