Show PERSONAL. Mr. Brittan, representing the firm of Messrs. Kearney & Swartchild, while staying at the Cache Valley House, last week commenced bleeding from the lungs. After a few days rest he recovered sufficiently to resume his trip. Messrs. Geo. (George) Buckle, S.E. Baxter and Oliver Hodgen, of Salt Lake City were in town a few days since, as a committee for the arrangement for the People's excursion from Salt Lake And towns along the route to Logan, on the occasion of the Cache Valley fair next month. Messrs. J. Hooper, R. Simpson and H.J. Muzzell, of the Salt Lake city fire department are in town arranging for their excursion on the 23rd instant. Hon. (Honorable) Moses Thatcher and party, consisting of Mr. and Mrs. L.R. Wells, of Chicago; F.W. Turner, Esq. (Esquire), manager of Zion's Board of Trade, and wife, S.M. Molen, Esq. (Esquire), our former efficient assessor and collector and wife and Mrs. Thatcher and three boys returned on Saturday from their trip to Soda Springs, Nounan and Bear Lake valleys. All well. |
