Show MEAKIN TO TALK FOR UTAH. Professor John P. Meakln will leave Salt Lake next Thursday for tho east where ho expects to remain for several sev-eral months. He will visit the large cities giving his lectures, "Utah and tho Mormons" and "Onward." Ho will also give refined dramatic entertainments enter-tainments at socials, receptions and drawing rooms and has already a number of engagements booked. Whenever opportunity offers ho will speak for Utah, showing tho advantages advant-ages and resources of tho state. It is his intention to return in tho summer sum-mer and with his son Charles and his talented wife (formerly Miss Ruth Eldredgo) will form a combination to glvo lectures and dramatic recitals In Utah and tho northwest, the same territory ter-ritory as Mr. Meakln traversed some years ago In tho interests of tho Woodmen of tho World. Mr. Meakln is doing a great work In telling tho facts about Utah and ho ought' to receive re-ceive tho encouragement and support of tho Commercial club, tho Manufacturers' Manufac-turers' association and all thoso who are working for a greater Salt Lake and a greater Utah. His work Is entirely en-tirely unsolflsh, has been so for many years. He always takes moro pleasure pleas-ure in giving than receiving. |
