Show grantsville GRANTS VILLE elsie green mr and mrs paul anderson and daughter ila accompanied by mr and mrs william J walk motored to pioche nevada for the easter weekend they were guests at the home of mr and mrs wayne walk of that city and report that they enjoyed their visit very much the biggest event ot of the week of course was the annual junior prom which was presented by the class of 49 in the high school gym the theme was the best things in m life and was very appropriate the decorations were the prettiest that had graced the gym in a long time any of you folks that haven t seen the decorations yet should certainly make an effort to attend the post prom lavar hanson and sterl ander son came down from logan to spend the weekend in the old home town and of course take in that not to be missed event the prom margaret judd marjone marjorie sutton thelma sutton keith green and calvin sandberg came up from provo for the weekend keith and calvin brought their girl friends with them mr and mrs L H green of salt lake city spent sunday at the home of mrs annie II 11 green for the first time in many weeks mr and mrs green have just returned from an extended tour through an arl zona texas new mexico colorado and old mexico mrs annie H green grien is in salt lake at the home of her son char he lie she went there sunday after noon with mr and mrs green the first ward MIA presented the program at church on sunday evening talks were given by bish op mccoy johnson don robert halladay delores smith and elsie green the choir sang king of glory and the other musical number was a cello solo by jackie sutton accompanied by her mother larae worthington spoke for just a few minutes larae worthington returned fri fn day night from her two year mis ins sion to the southern states she spent most of her time in alabama and florida and made a lot of fri fn ends while she was busy at her missionary tasks on her way home she visited washington D C new york city and chicago sunday she spent in salt lake attending conference welcome home larae we are glad to have you back with us a gain lowell watson and kenneth warner have both returned from their missions and we are glad to have them back too mrs melba parry spent sunday in salt lake attending conference she was accompanied by friends from reno nevada the big gold and green ball will be presented april 27 in the opera house that is the last night of mutual and the gold and green ball will make a fitting climax to a successful year of mutual work dont forget folks this date should really be a gala affair mr lavar hansen who is at tending the spent the week end at the home of his parents mr mx and mrs sherman rutledge of salt lake city were sunday vis igors at the home of their parents mr and mrs T K rutledge of his this city |
