Long became the bride of Gus H. Liapis son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Liapis of Helper. Help-er. The impressive 4:00 p.m. ceremony was performed by Father John E. Zannldachis priest of the Price Greek Orthodox Or-thodox Church. The bride, given in marriage mar-riage by her father, wore an all white organza empire waist gown. Ihe dress featured fea-tured high neck edged with Venice lace and long-- full sleeves with a wide ruffle around the wrist. The full, slightly gathered skirt accented ac-cented with the same Venice . lace formed its own circular train. Her 3 tier pure silk illusion veil was attached to a Venice lace bonnet accented accent-ed With handmade silk flowers flow-ers and pearls. She carried a bouquet of white orchids, mums and Stephanotis. Mrs. Art HopKins, sister of the bride, of Ogden was Matron Ma-tron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss . Cindy Mallon; Mrs. John Phelps, Logan; Mrs. Carl Brown and Mrs. Billy Sacamanno, Salt Lake City; and Mrs. Paul Leonard, Pnce. They wore long polyester poly-ester knit red, white and blue empire waist dresses with puued sleeves. White picture hats with matching bands, white gloves, and carved ivory rose pendants, ' a gilt of the bride completed the ensemble. Cynthia Kay Hopkins, niece of the bride, attired in matching dress,- with white pinafore and duster dus-ter hat acted as the flower girl. They all carried white baskets filled with White . babysbreath and daisys with centers of red and blue pom poms. Paul Liapis of Salt Lake City, brother of the bridegroom bride-groom served as best man. Groomsmen were Billy Sac-camanno, Sac-camanno, Salt Lake City; Steve MaxKeld, Steve Pap-azaharis, Pap-azaharis, Jack Ori and David Matsuda of Price. Tim Van Sickle cousin of 'the bride of '.Howard, Kansas was ring oearer." Mrs. Ca:vin Cox played the organ and accompanied Mrs. Jack Riley as she sang Whither Whi-ther Thou Goest. A reception followed tTfe nuptuals in the parish hall decorated iri red white and Wue. Mrs. Hal Johnson served serv-ed the beautifully decorated 4 tier wedding cake topped .with a minature bride and groom. Coffee and punch were poured by Mrs. Charles Budge, Bryce Canyon; and' Mrs. Ardell Van Sickle, Howard, How-ard, Kansas, aunt of the bride, Miss Suzanne Van-Sickle, Van-Sickle, cousin of the bride, from Howard, Kansas was in charge of the guest book. M'.'ss Kathy Dravage passed out favors and Mrs. Frank Young and Miss Cynthia Wal-terschied Wal-terschied were at the gift table, Mrs. Calvin Cox played play-ed background music on the organ. Mrs. Long, mother of the bride wore a red and whffe kn'.t A-line formal. Mrs. Liapis, the bridegrooms mother mo-ther was wearing a blue and white formal. Each had a corsage of gardenias and Stephanotis. . Other out of town guests were Mrs. Pansy Barnby, Howard, Kansas, grandmother grandmo-ther of the bride; Art Hopkins, Hop-kins, Ogden;. John Phelps Logan; Mr. and Mrs. Del Kay Jr., Carl Brown, Mrs. Paul Liapis, Kathy and Mary Carol Car-ol Rceder from Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Budge, Bryce Canyon; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Lange, Mr. and Mrs. Neil Maxfield and . family, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Papazharis,, Walker Phelps, Bryan Matsuda, Gordon Od-endahl,. Od-endahl,. Paul Lenoard, and Mrs. Foto Liapis, grandmo-.ther grandmo-.ther of are groom all from Price. Prenuptial events were hosted by Mrs. Carl Brown, Mrs. Biliy Saccamanno, and Mrs. Hal Johnson. The grooms parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Liapis hosted a rehearsal dinner Friday night at the SunDowner Restaurant. Restaur-ant. Following a honeymoon to Disneyland and Southern California, Cal-ifornia, the couple will be at home in Salt Lake City. He will be working on his degree in Engineering at the University of Utah and Sharon will be teaching physical phy-sical education and dance at Valley Junior High in Granger. |
