Golden Wedding Honors Come to Moab Couple An open house reception recep-tion Saturday, Sept. 15, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Domenick, 498 Mill Creek Drive, will honor Carl and Lyda Rappe on the occasion of their Fiftieth Wedding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Rappe were married Sept. 15, 1923 in Mansfield, Arkansas. Ark-ansas. Prior to moving to Moab. they lived in Seattle, Washington where Seattle, Washington where Mr. Rappe was employed em-ployed as a carpenter. About nine years ago they moved to Moab and operated oper-ated the Day Nile Laundry Laun-dry until two months ago when they retired. The Rappes have three children, Dortha Sacker-son Sacker-son of Seattle, Washington Washing-ton and Mrs. Sylvester (Barbara) Domenick and Carl A., Jr. both of Moab. There are five grandchildren. Planning to attend the reception on Saturday are all three children and all the grandchildren along with several of Mrs. Rappe's sisters and brothers. bro-thers. Already in Moab for a visit prior to the open house are two sisters. sis-ters. Mrs. O. M. (Nel) Gibson and her husband from Barstow, Calif, and Mrs. Juanita Kaess ofSe-attle. ofSe-attle. Washington. The public is invited to the reception honoring Mr. and Mrs. Rappe from 12 noon until 5 p.m. on Saturday. The family requests re-quests no gifts. " w: j ' ''- It .
