Show Former Moab Teacher Dies In Ogden Former Moab teacher Jean Roberta Woodside, 84, died Feb. 27 in an Ogden nursing home of causes incident to age. Born Aug. 29, 1892 in Logan to William W. and Jennie L. Morton Woodside, she was reared and educated in Logan and attended the New Jersey Academy there. She graduated graduat-ed from Utah State Universi-ty Universi-ty with a degree in home economics. Besides Moab, she taught high school in Eureka, Logan and Coalville, Ut. She served on the State Educational Committees in home and family affairs. She was a member of Clara Barton Chapter No. 16, Logan, Order of the Eastern Star, and also a member of the Ogden Past Matron's Circle and the Presbyterian Pres-byterian Church. Survivors include a brother, broth-er, Howard M. Woodside, Auburn, Ca.; two sisters, Margaret J. Woodside- and Mrs. Josephine W. Johnson, both Ogden. Graveside services will be held March 3 at the Logan City Cemetery with Rev. Minor Min-or Bruner of the Logan Presbyterian Pres-byterian Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Shriner's Crippled Children's Child-ren's Hospital, Salt Lake City are asked. |
