Show Thompson News. . . By A. E. Curtis Saturday. Feb. 26. Mr. and Mrs. Jim O'Neil hosted a surprise party at the D & RGWRR Depot for Mr. and Mrs. Ted Miller. Mr. Miller will retire March 25 after 26 years with the D & RGWRR. Mr. and Mrs. Miller moved to Floy, Utah in 1947 from Colorado. In 1948 Mr. Miller was transferred to Thompson and they have resided here ever since. Mrs. Lester Rogers was co-hostess with Mrs. O'Neil and they served a lovely turkey and ham dinner to the following: The Guests of Honor, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Miller; Mrs. Miller's mother, Mrs. Sando from Denver; Mr. and Mrs. George Dutos and Mrs. Dutos' mother, Mrs. Phyllis Quintana of Grand Junction, Colo.; A. J. Rogers, Barbara Jewkes and daughter; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Jeffries; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ken-neth Frame and 2 children, Michael and Sue; Mr. Art Thnmnwin- Mr and Mr? .Tp- se Gruver and children Loren and Beth; Virginia Gruver; Mr. and Mrs. Guy Durfee; Mrs. Beverly Coops; Lester Rogers; Jim O'Neil; and Mr. and Mrs. D. B. Curtis. Tuesday, Feb. 22 a birthday dinner was given for Virginia Gruver at the home of her daughter, Mrs. D. B. Curtis. Those attending were her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Gruver, Beth and Loren; Lor-en; and granddaughter and family, the Paul Shueys of Moab. |
