Foote Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Saturday, Nov. 2 in the Moab LDS Chapel for Nora May Spencer Foote, who passed away Oct. 31 in the Allen Memorial Hospital following a long illness. Born April 24, 1915 in Por-tersville, Por-tersville, Morgan County, to Sanford M. and Mary Evelyn Spencer, she was married April Ap-ril 20, 1936 to Garvin Uzel Foote in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Mrs. Foote was a resident of Moab for nearly 20 years. She was an active member of the LDS Church, and was Moab Third Ward Relief Society So-ciety secretary until shortly before her death. Survivors include her husband, hus-band, a daughter, Mrs. Arthur Ar-thur (Janet) Hurzeler, Jr., Midvale; a foster daughter, Mrs. Buster (Hellen) Mc-Pherson, Mc-Pherson, Ogdcn; and five grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Robert S. (Frances) Knight, Covina, Calif.; and a brother, C. F. j Spencer, Pleasant Hills, Cal- ' ifornia. The only Moab relative rela-tive is Mrs. Sam (Adrien) Taylor, a neice. j Funeral services, conduct- ; mond, included a tribute and i comments by him, and a talk i by David Parkinson. Special music included three songs by The Singing Mothers, organ or-gan prelude and two organ solos by Ellis Foote, and an organ and cello duet by Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Foote. Fam- ; ily prayer was offered by ' Grant L. Foote, and the grave dedication, in the j Grand Valley Cemetery, was by Arthur Herzeler, Jr. Pallbearers were Arthur Hurzeler, Jr., Buster Mc- ; Pherson, C. F. Spencer, Rob- j ert S. Knight, Reed A. Foote and Brant Foote. j Over forty relatives attend- ' ed the services from out of ' town, coming from as far away as San Diego, Calif.; Tucson, Ariz.; and Ann Ar- i bor, Mich. Arrangements were under the direction of Grand Vai- le Mortuary; j |
